As a designer, I intensely scrutinize the branding of everything around me. Everything from packaging at the grocery store, to banner ads on websites, to larger things like airlines and retail stores. I feel fortunate to have assisted many companies in their branding. With the economy so unstable, people tend to overlook branding and marketing. As irritating as catch phrases can be, I can tell you the old one “You have to spend money to make money” is incredibly important and true.
I have not yet designed a logo for this site. I’ve put up a temporary one. However, “Caroline Mundt soon to be Simpson Design” is a bit wordy for a logo and is temporary anyway. Soon (seriously soon, like 6 weeks) this site will simply be Caroline Simpson Design. I wanted to launch the blog before the entire site for several reasons. I wanted to gain some readership for the blog. I was anxious just to start the blog. And I also want to get my readers’ opinions on my logo for this updated portfolio site. So this summer (not the week or week after the wedding, as I know my plate will be full), I want showcase several logo options that will serve as a logo for this site and influence the overall look of the site and my brand’s identity.
Now that you all are caught up on the future of this blog and my portfolio site, I thought I’d show you some logos I’ve designed. My clients range from small to large in a variety of industries.
